I turned eight (8)! last weekend but Mom is just now finally posting about it. I had a blast. And I should be writing this myself, but, well, I’m at school right now.
We went to a play (Velveteen Rabbit).
We went to the Mall of America and rode rides and watched the Wild (lose again.) “Oh Yeah! A fight!”
We had chocolate cake with fresh raspberries and more chocolate.
And the next day we went Rock Climbing with my hockey team.
It was a great weekend.
Can you believe I”m 8? Mom and Dad can’t!!
Here’s just a short clip of my latest performance! Mostly posted for Grandma, because he was out of town golfing.
Remember some of these old shots?
Mom started scrolling through and couldn’t resist adding some old ones.
Here I think I bonked my head.
Here I’m blaming the dog.
And this one I’m just staring at Planet Carole. And smiling. I am always smiling.
Mom is way behind again. But in her defense, and because I’m almost 7, she has asked me a few times to write something for this blog myself. So, I guess we’re both way behind.
We had a great Christmas with my WI cousins. And my WI grandparents:
And then a fun New Year’s Eve (“this is how we do it…”) with our crazy friends the Mendels:
Now I’m back to school and ready to start learning again! Oh wait, more like, I’m ready for recess and lunch with my friends!
Did I mention I started first grade? I LOVE IT!
Here I am at 6.5 years old. Just checking in.
(I had a double ear infection and ended up with Strep Throat the next day. Probably why I was so mellow.)
Mom and Dad were going to bring me to the Wisconsin Dells for a long weekend, but they surprised me at the airport and we went to Florda instead! I loved it!
We went with my good friend M and her parents. We went to DisneyWorld, Universal and we spent a day at Cocoa Beach, where I got a coconut!
I’ll post more photos soon (I promise), but here’s the video of when our crazy parents told us their secret!
I’ve been loving soccer. And I keep scoring goals!
I’ve been to Valleyfair (twice), the Arboretum, and the MOA. I guess I’m heading to camps starting next week. More fun!!
I drew this picture for my teacher yesterday. The day before that the cardboard gave me a paper cut. But yesterday I went ahead anyway and created this masterpiece. Mom and Dad are proud. I’m sure my teacher will be too.
(BTW – Mom just said I can start writing my own posts from now on. Sweet!)
